The choice of being a clinician by profession is a desire worth all appreciation. It is not only a profession to help you make money but also contribute to the service of society and well being of humanity.
Who is a clinician?
A clinician is a healthcare professional. The job of the clinician is to take care of the patients in a hospital or a personal clinic. Clinicians work as a helping hand to the doctors. In some cases, clinicians can even diagnose and treat patients. It is important to note that the term is also used to refer to physicians, physiotherapists, nurses and pharmacists.
Educational qualification
Well, there is no uniform qualification for being a clinician in different countries. In some countries, a bachelor degree is sufficient while in some a master’s degree is required. However, the common phase is that of training. There are many medical schools that provide grooming for clinicians. Even some of the schools like the Duke NUS in Singapore are also providing a clinician plus course. The course encourages the students to not only learn the working of the clinician but also at the same time explore new possibilities in the field of medicine.
